PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MODULE
For over 25 years the Gambling Awareness Program has been delivering responsible gambling education to students, community groups, and the general Saskatchewan population.
In recent years we’ve seen a real increase in the “Gamblification of Technology”, where gambling influences both video gaming and social media. We’ve shifted our education program to include this, and discuss disordered gaming and technology use with students.
This professional development module is designed for Saskatchewan Educators to help them understand and recognize the warning signs of problematic technology use in their classroom including video gaming, social media use, and internet use.
If you are interested in having the Gambling Awareness Program come in and talk with your students about gambling and technology use please contact the coordinator in your area listed at the bottom of this resources.
