EDUCATION & TRAINING ASSISTANT
FULL-TIME POSITION
The Canadian Mental Health Association (Saskatchewan Division) Inc. invites applications for the full-time term (30 hrs/week) position of Education & Training Assistant in our Division Office.
This is a line/staff position that works under the direct supervisions of the H.O.P.E. Learning Centre (HLC) staff to carry out the HLC support and activities. It is a 1-year, term position with the potential of being extended dependence on the external funding.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Education & Training Responsibilities
- Partner with target demographics to develop programs for specific, educational opportunities
- Assist with training and facilitation as appropriate
- Ensure that materials are updated and available for distribution as needed
- Respond to emails and phone calls or issues relevant to training and education and support of HLC coordinators as necessary
- Maintain documentation, statistics, relevant to presentations, training, and education to be sent to the Assistant Executive Director in a format that is ready to use for reporting to funders’ reports
- Update H.L.C. website regarding groups, materials, dates, and coordinator contacts.
- Assist with the development of tools to be used within training and education
- Maintain schedules and connect with event venues and associated local services (eg. Childcare)
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director.
Qualifications and Experience
Completion of a university degree in social sciences or certificate program in mental health/addictions worker, or an equivalent combination of experience and training is required. The successful candidate must be proficient in communication platforms (ZOOM, Teams, etc.), MS365 applications, spreadsheets, and basic audio-visual equipment and associated technology. The successful candidate must also have Peer Support Training and Mental Health First Aid training or be willing to be trained.
This position may require working on some evenings and weekends on a pre-planned basis. Some overnight stays may be required as well. A valid driver’s license would be an asset.
Salary range: $3,000.69 – $3,489.11/month / $23.10 – $26.86/hour as per SGEU Collective Agreement
