RCMP Spin-A-Thon Fundraiser – March 11th, 2023

Corporal Alain Castonguay is a police officer and facilitator with the RCMP in Regina. He is running a 24-hour Spin-A-Thon on March 11th, 2023. Corporal Castonguay has selected Mental Health & PTSD as the cause for this year’s fundraising event. To see those funds through, Cpl. Castonguay has asked CMHA Sask. Division to be the recipient of this year’s Spin-A-Thon.

Corporal Alain Castonguay:

1) As first responders, we are exposed to more traumas than I can count and it takes a toll on our mental health. I know of a lot of police officers currently in treatment;

2) I was personally diagnosed with severe PTSD in January 2022;

3) There’s still a stigma attached to mental health but if I can help just one person during the event then I will have done my job.

This 24-hour Spin Event is dedicat ed to Mental Health, Post-Traumat ic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the Operat ional Stress Injury (OSI) clinic.

The event will take place on March 11th and it is a 24-hour event. Cpl. Castonguay will be using his own personal Facebook/Instagram accounts to promote the Spin-A-Thon. Cadets, RCMP staff and members of the general public are encouraged to help share this donation link on social media.
