The Canadian Treatment Center for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (CTCOCD) asked if we could help spread word of their organization. CTCOCD released a short PDF talking about what they do and some of the changes they have made. We wanted to share 🙂
The CTCOCD is a large bilingual specialized center that offers specialized treatments for OCD and related disorders throughout the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults). Referrals of pediatric and adult cases are accepted nationally as well as internationally. Please see the center website for further information: www.ctcocd.ca
The CTCOCD offers office‐based specialized treatment to those individuals whose symptoms and related difficulties range from mild and newly developed to incapacitating and longstanding. In addition, in the case of severe illness, intensive treatment programs are provided for local and out of town patients. Therapist‐assisted home‐based interventions are also available. Phone or skype sessions are possible for individuals in remote regions who cannot access specialized care. Specialty psychological services are administered on a sliding scale basis in order to meet the widespread need for additional specialized treatment options. Several experienced psychiatrists are affiliated with the CTCOCD to ensure multidisciplinary collaborative care, as needed.
Consultations, ongoing supervision, and training in specialized cognitive behavior therapy for pediatric and adult cases are offered to professionals and to post–‐doctoral and doctoral students (local, national, international).
Appointments are offered within three weeks and patients may call for their own appointment. Medical referral may be requested.
